Holyport FC are pleased to announce their first batch of signings for the coming season. Following our first game against near neighbours Binfield FC on Tuesday the following players put pen to paper;
Alan Akerman – last season’s managers player of the season with 106 apps and 13 goals to his name. A creative midfielder who made a real difference to the side when he re-joined in October last season.
Adam Sharp – a strong and quick centre back, a great addition to the side when he resigned in October. Got better and better as the season progressed. 64 apps and 3 goals during his two terms at Holyport.
Chris De Franco – an ever present last season with 30 appearances. Centre back who is good in the air and loves to attack a set piece. Never a quiet moment with Franco around – great to have around the club.
Fabian Driffill – last seasons top goal scorer with 20 goals in 30 games, a tricky centre forward who has deceptive quick feet and great touch. Looking for Fab to push on this season and better his goal tally from last season.
Josh Lowther – ‘Sarge’ played 15 games last season and grabbed 2 goals. A strong midfielder who is deceptively quick and very fit. Gets up and down all day and works very hard for the side. Will never shy a challenge.
Andy Forisky – Only 22 years old but has matured in the past three seasons. 35 apps with 4 goals to his name. A dependable player who is very busy in midfield, works hard for the side and will never shy a tackle
Jake Quelch – Made the gloves his own after joining mid-way through last season, good in the air, good shot stopper and a good kicker. A real all round solid goal keeper and makes a difference to the side when playing.
Matt Ensby - A quiet lad but Mr Consistent, only 22 but has developed into a great defender since he joined us as a 16 year old. 82 apps but no goals to his name, comfortable anywhere across the back four.
Lee Ovens - Players player of the year with 244 apps and 3 goals to his name. No nonsense defender who is comfortable at full back or centre back, solid, dependable and club captain and now follow assistant manager.
Sam Whitfield - Combative central midfielder who gives the midfield some steel. Works hard for the side, never shys a challenge and grabs the occasional goal. Leaves it all on the pitch.
Jamie Wright - 'Lefton' returns 144 apps and 26 goals for the club. A target man with a good touch and good in the air. Great to see you back playing big man!
Daniel Rapley - a player who has pretty much one everything at this level and above, a success at every side he has played for. 222 apps and 78 goal for us in his last stint at Port. We are delighted to welcome winger 'Rappers' back to the club
Charlie Evans - 28 apps and 4 goals last season, really developed as the season progressed in central midfield. Composed on the ball and keeps midfield ticking over, showed his potential on Tuesday against Binfield.
Nat Green - 14 apps and 1 goal last season, direct winger with pace, always looking to get in behind. A lot more potential to come this season and more goals
Steven Deverall - 177 apps and 15 goals, happy anywhere along the left hand side. Offers great pace and a fantastic delivery, made a massive difference to the side when he re-joined last season.
Chris Hedges – 76 Apps with no goals, left back who developed last season and held down the left back slot. Dependable player who has been at the club for longer than his 76 apps show.
Jonathan Feaver – 40 Apps and 8 goals, happy either out wide or upfront, works hard for the side which does not go unnoticed.
