Holyport boss Derek Sweatman was delighted that his promoted side finally chalked up their first away win since stepping up a division.  With Dan Bailey missing through suspension Fridays signing Carl Reeves returned to the starting eleven, along with Ben Murphy in goal.

Stuart Butler came in for James Flint in central midfield and it was his free kick after 37 minutes that gave Port a one nil lead going into the break.  His second free kick of the season left the Witney keeper stranded.

After 52 minutes Witney drew level against the run of play, but Port came back strongly and increased their lead after 56 minutes when Jamie Hanscomb was put clean through by the impressive Stuart Butler to give Port a much deserved lead. Witney were then reduced to ten men as their number 11 was given his marching orders. Sweetman used this opportunity to use his three subs of Deverall, Wall and Stokes. Stokes took this chance to add fourth on 84 minutes to seal an emphatic win.
