PORT LOOSE SIX POINTER TO WITNEY TOWN

Manager Derek Sweetman must wonder what to do next as he knows from his vast experience that the only way out of this run of seven league defeats is players take responsibility and buckle down to hard work and basics.

Port found themselves a goal down to a penalty after just one minute when Matt Rolfe upended his opponent resulting in the quickest penalty ever seen at Summerlease. Port tried their best to get on level terms and Rolfe netted what looked a good goal only to see it ruled out by a sharp eyed linesman. Port continued to create opportunity's but the old foe not finding the net continues to haunt them and did they pay for it when the Town broke away to score their second
To take in a lead at half time that seemed insurmountable.

Following harsh words at half time by Ports Management in their efforts to boost the players confidence this was soon destroyed when following the kick off Town increased their lead to three  after forty seven minutes and thus Town went onto secure the six pointer match.

Port travel to local rivals Wokingham & Embook on Tuesday night ko 7:45pm followed by Slimbridge away on Saturday 17th Dec. Lets hope the players show their metal and finish the year in the style that has made 2011 special for Manager Derek Sweetman and everyone at the Port.
