Match Report Holyport FC
Holyport 1-0 Cheltenham Saracens
Port scorer: Lee Jerrum 29mins
Port have the edge over Saracens
Port recorded their second home win on the trot and their first clean sheet of the season.
Derek Sweetmans side soon settled and took the game to the Sarecens with Dan Rapley and Lee Jerrum causing problems on the flanks, but for some fine saves by the Sara's keeper Betteridge Holyport would have taken an early lead. Lee Jerrum then got the breakthrough Port deserved and slotted home on 29 minutes to give Port a half time lead.
Saracens came out in a more determined mood at the turn round but Ports defence stood firm with man of the match Carls Reeves who was marshalling his defence with some resilience and Saracens could find no way through.
Port then found their second wind and created many chances but alas could not find the net again but had done enough to take a deserved three points to keep themselves in the top third of the league.
