Match Report Holyport FC
Tuesday 16th August 2011
Highworth Town 1 v 0 Holyport FC
Half time 1 (45 + 2) v 0
Holyport battled hard in their second tough away game in the Uhlsport Hellenic Premier. After a tough away game to champions Wantage on Saturday Holyport found themselves against a confident Highworth side who had despatched Thame United 3-1 on Saturday.
Holyport who made four changes from Saturday were given a harsh blow when in the 2nd minute of first half injury time Highworth took the lead.
Holyport although not at their best took the game to Highworth and pushed for an equaliser. The introduction of attacking players, Butler, Wright and Handscomb failed to find the goal that Port deserved and leaves them pointless after the toughest start to their league campaign.
James Flint took the mom tonight for his display, closely followed by Ben Murphy.
Holyport will now look forward to their FA Cup game away to Wokingham and Emmbrook on Saturday.
